Meet the Heart Behind Step 4 Pediatric Therapy"

Speech Therapy Mooresville & Statesville

Passionate pediatric SLP, devoted mom, loving wife, and faithful Christ follower, serving Lake Norman families with heart and expertise.

From the prairies of Regina, SK, to the welcoming communities of Lake Norman, Kayla’s journey in pediatric speech therapy began with a dream of making a difference in children’s lives. Her passion for communication disorders led her to Minot State University, where she earned her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, specializing in early intervention and Autism services.

Life had beautiful plans in store – while building her expertise in pediatric therapy, Kayla found love in an unexpected place. Through the magic of online dating, she met her soulmate, and after a year of long-distance connection, she embarked on her biggest adventure yet: making North Carolina her new home.

Today, as a Canadian-born speech-language pathologist serving the Lake Norman area, Kayla brings her unique blend of northern warmth and southern hospitality to every therapy session. At Step 4 Pediatric Therapy in Mooresville and Statesville, she combines her extensive training in speech therapy, feeding disorders, and communication development with a deeply personal understanding of what it means to adapt and grow.

Her approach to pediatric speech therapy is shaped by her own journey – understanding that every child’s path to communication is as unique as their own story. Whether working with early intervention cases, feeding disorders, or speech delays, Kayla’s dedication to helping children find their voice shines through in every interaction at our Mooresville and Statesville locations.
