About Our Services
Frequently Asked Questions
A referral from a medical professional is required for all insurances. You can self
refer yourself or your child and we can connect with your physician to retrieve
appropriate documentation. We provide a free 15 minute phone consultation if
necessary to determine if a full evaluation and referral is needed.
Once an evaluation is completed, your SLP along with the team (parents,
medical providers, other therapists) will come up with a treatment plan.
Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed timeline to graduate from SLP services, but
an estimation can be provided based on your child’s prognosis. Typically children
who have a strong support system and care providers to implement home
programming strategies improve at a faster rate.
We accept Medicaid Direct, Wellcare Managed Medicaid, Healthy Blue Managed
Medicaid, Partners Behavioral Health, Alliance Health, Carolina Complete, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. If you do not have these insurance
providers, we can provide superbills to send in as an out of network provider.
Yes! We can also provide a superbill to provide to insurances if you are out of
network with the previously listed insurance plans we accept.
Step 4 accepts any major credit cards, cash, or check.
At Step 4 Pediatric Therapy, we provide in Home therapy services only at this
time. If needed, therapy services can be provided in the child’s daycare, ABA clinic, or other community settings.
Therapy services typically begin between 1 and 4 weeks following an evaluation.
This wait time typically varies based on report writing timeframe and insurance
authorization requirements.
